Project outline: The Reims-Champagne tourism office commissioned Horwath HTL to draw up a tourism development strategy and define an action plan for the city and its surroundings. The objectives were:
- to launch an in-depth reflection on the tourism sector in Reims and the neighbouring areas
- to determine a market position for Reims-Champagne as a destination in the short and medium term by identifying key target groups
- to institute and perpetuate a series of changes and partnerships between different stakeholders and to draw up an action plan for implementing this strategy
Solution and implementation proposed by Horwath HTL: Our team carried out the following:
- An evaluation of the tourism, cultural and historical offerings at the destination
- An in-depth evaluation of the appeal of wine tourism in the region
- Creative workshops with local figures (artists, wine producers, famous chefs, etc.)
Project status: The conclusions reached have been integrated into the strategy that is currently being implemented.
