Move over London and New York, here comes the emerging world-class megacity, Bangkok.

In five short years, the electric metro across Greater Bangkok will reach a length of 464 kilometers. This will surpass London’s 402 km Tube network and New York City’s subway, which is 380 km. The great promise of the East, has now become the new West.

Important to the success of Bangkok being a world class city, will be the access to the three international interconnected airports: Suvarnabhumi, Don Mueang and U-Tapao. This latest report by Horwath HTL Thailand and C9 Hotelworks provides great insight into new luxury hotel and hotel residence developments that truly raise the evolving city skyline.

Nikhom Jensiriratanakorn

Nikhom Jensiriratanakorn, as known as Nick, represents Horwath HTL in the Thailand market. He has brought with him a comprehensive experience in hotel feasibility analysis, investment underwriting and asset management from his years with several international hospitality businesses in Singapore. He has a good exposure to different players in the industry from a hotel management company, an investment fund, an owner-cum-operator and a consulting firm. During his term at Pan Pacific Hotels Group and Host Hotels & Resorts, Nick managed a portfolio of hotels in multiple geographical regions from Oceania to Southeast Asia and India. He was actively involved in monitoring and enhancing hotel performance under close collaboration with the hotel leadership teams. In Australia, he conducted an extensive study and a return on investment (ROI) analysis on major renovation projects. Nick also provided business insight to the underwriting and execution of acquisition opportunities as well as post-deal implementation. At Jumeirah Group, he set up the Asia Pacific development planning function and worked with the Dubai headquarters to ensure a successful market entry. The firm has expanded its footprint in China and secured more strategic locations in Southeast Asia. Nick is a Thai national, and has a Bachelor’s degree in business administration from Thammasat University. He started his career with PricewaterhouseCoopers in the Bangkok office, and later pursued Masters of Management in Hospitality and Certificate in Hotel Real Estate Investments and Asset Management from Cornell University. He is fluent in Thai and English.
